Invited by artist and initiator of WIRWIR project space April Gertler to come to Berlin and create a new site specific work as part of their upcoming programme Wir Bauen Eine Neue Stadt.

• You and I eat the same or Where is the Edge of the Pot? •

A delectable attempt to consider the countless ways food and cooking connect us to one another. Since cooking is our greatest human connection and humanity is on top of its game when it's inclusive, exhibit A being our culinary history, Maureen will eat and cook her way through the kitchens and at the tables of people in the neighbourhood of WIRWIR project space. Collecting personal tales of individuals, exploring crafts, skills, products, ingredients and history related to the various culinary cultures that live in and around Sonnen Allee and the neighbourhood in which WIRWIR is located and from people closely related to WIRWIR. Can we find or unveil a common ground in the various culinary cultures that live in the neighbourhood? In WIRWIR Maureen will build a temporary culinary podium with them using the work ‘Territorial Claim’ of artist Uli Aigner. A unique collection of ceramic vessels currently lend to WIRWIR by the artist.
